ICARDA is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Consultant to join our dynamic HR team. The selected candidate will play a central part in strengthening our organizational learning culture by designing and implementing learning initiatives that enable the effective rollout of ICARDA\u2019s new Performance Management Framework.

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is a treaty-based international non-profit research organization supported by CGIAR.ย ย

Main responsibilitiesย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Design and develop high-quality learning solutions, including training modules, toolkits, guides, and e-learning content that support the new framework rollout.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Create materials that promote continuous feedback, goal-setting, coaching, and performance review best practices.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure learning content is practical, user-friendly, and aligned with ICARDA\u2019s values and organizational context.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Facilitate workshops, webinars, and training sessions for staff and managers globally.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Build capacity of supervisors in performance coaching, feedback conversations, competency-based evaluations, and development planning.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Establish mechanisms to evaluate learning outcomes, measure effectiveness, and track progress against goals.
Requirements
Education, qualifications, and experience
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Advanced university degree (Master\u2019s level or higher) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Minimum of 7\u201310 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development and organizational development.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Proven experience in designing and delivering learning programs related to performance management, leadership development, or change management.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong experience in facilitating workshops and virtual learning sessions for diverse, multicultural audiences.
\u00b7ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Demonstrated ability to translate frameworks and policies into practical, engaging learning solutions.
Benefits
Terms of appointment, salary, and benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a 30-day consultancy contract on a full-time basis.
The incumbent will be provided with an honorarium based on the contract deliverables.
