5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

This is a maternity cover which envisaged to run from September 2025 to September 2026.

This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in the office. You can be based in our WRI Europe office in the Hague or London. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission.

About the Program:

The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) is a self-governed Coalition of organisations and individuals working collaboratively to achieve a shared objective: the urgent transformation of food and land use systems to deliver a better future for people, nature and climate. FOLU supports science-based solutions and helps to build a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities to unlock collective, ambitious action.

The Knowledge and Engagement team leads research and multi-stakeholder engagement to accelerate the transformation of agri-food value chains.

1. Foster deeper and broader collaboration to transition value chains, through engagement and insights.

2. Deepen analysis and engagement in the soy and rice value chains to accelerate progress through collective action.

3. Co-create a shared understanding of the critical blockers and enablers to value chain transformation for all actors within the value chain.

4. Deep dive into a subset of the above to start to build broader consensus as to how best to progress a transition.

5. Take learnings from the dialogues to develop shared โ€˜calls to actionโ€™ for critical stakeholders.

6. Identify high potential opportunities for further research and engagement.

Job Highlight:

Reporting to the Global Knowledge and Engagement Director, you will be an integral part of the knowledge and engagement team, leading FOLUโ€™s value chains engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. You will deliver research, coordinate consultations to strengthen FOLUโ€™s outputs and work with partners to co-design dialogues that bring together critical stakeholders on food systems transformation. In addition, you will translate learnings into technical briefs for external audiences, contribute to and lead on knowledge products and identify opportunities for future research and engagement. You will integrate equity into your work.
