Department Context

ITS Corporate Solutions (ITSCO) partners with the World Bank Groupโ€™s Corporate vice presidencies to drive innovation, build effective partnerships, and empower staff to deliver on the promise of a Better Bank. The departmentโ€™s three key units deliver scalable mission-critical IT solutions, ensuring a robust and effective digital architecture based on an evolving ITS strategy. ITSCO comprises three Units: Digital Engagement (ITSCD), Corporate Technology (ITSCC), and Workforce Solutions (ITSWS).ย 

Duties and Responsibilities:

This Position will report to the Director & Chief Information Officer of Corporate Solutions. Below is a summary of the expected duties and accountabilities, among others:ย ย 

Specific Responsibilities

1. Market Research and Competitive Analysis

Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and comparative market solutions for corporate digital platforms including intranets, workflow management, HR systems, and case management tools. Prepare evaluation reports with recommendations for technology adoption, vendor options, and implementation approaches that align with organizational objectives and budget constraints.

2. Business Framework Development and Architecture Design

Design and develop a robust, scalable business framework for digital solution modernization that accommodates diverse corporate needs across multiple technology platforms.

3. Business Process Analysis and Optimizatioย  n

Apply systematic business process analysis methodologies to evaluate current workflows across departments including HR, operations, and administrative functions. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities, then develop optimized process models that leverage data analytics, artificial intelligence, and workflow automation to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

4. Strategic Roadmap Development and Project Planning

Create comprehensive, business-friendly digital transformation roadmaps that outline phased implementation approaches, resource requirements, timelines, and success metrics. Translate technical initiatives into clear business value propositions and develop project plans that prioritize high-impact solutions while managing organizational change and minimizing operational disruption.

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Innovation Advocacy

Serve as a bridge between IT and business units to champion digital innovation initiatives and build consensus around modernization efforts. Facilitate cross-functional workshops, deliver presentations, and maintain ongoing communication with product teams to ensure alignment with business objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement.

Selection Criteria

1. Proven Digital Transformation Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience on digital modernization projects in corporate environments, with demonstrated success implementing enterprise solutions including intranets, workflow management systems, HR platforms, and case management tools. Experience working with heterogeneous technology environments and legacy system integration required.

2. Strategic Analysis and Business Process Expertise

Strong background in business process analysis, optimization methodologies, and strategic roadmap development. Proven ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and translate technical initiatives into clear business value propositions for executive audiences.

3. Advanced Technology and Innovation Skills

Demonstrated experience implementing AI, process automation, and data analytics solutions within business contexts. Must show evidence of staying current with emerging technology trends and successfully deploying innovative solutions that deliver measurable operational improvements.

4. Superior Communication and Collaboration Abilities

Strong presentation skills with proven track record of engaging diverse stakeholder groups. Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops, managing change initiatives, and building consensus across organizational boundaries required.

5. Leadership and International Business Acumen

Demonstrated leadership presence with ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority. Experience working in international business environments with cultural sensitivity and adaptability. Must exhibit the presence necessary to champion innovative initiatives and foster collaborative team dynamics.
