Context:\n\n

Advisory support to\ndevelop specialized training module on Applied Psychology with job competences\nand learning outcomes aligned with international standards and EU Sectoral\nQualifications Framework for Border Guarding and organize ToT for the lecturers\nof the Scientific and Educational Centre of the National Security Service of\nArmenia.\n\n

Background\nof the activity:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Project is\nimplemented in Armenia to further strengthen the capacities of the national\nauthorities to tackle cross-border organized crime and independent border\nmanagement capacities. The primary national partners benefiting from its\noutcomes are the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSS) and\nits Border Guard Troops (BGT). The Project will build on the results achieved\nin recent years and will further advance the alignment of the border guard\ntraining/ educational system and standards with European and international best\npractices, enhance capacity to autonomously manage borders through enhanced\nsecondary inspection as well as capacity to detect and counter irregular\ntravellers, including terrorists and serious criminals through setting up\nAdvance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) data.ย \n\n\n\n\n\n

Core Functions / Responsibilities\n\n

Under the\noverall supervision of the of Office and the direct supervision of the\nProject Coordinator, as well as in close cooperation with relevant\nstakeholders, the local consultant will perform the following tasks:\n\n

1)ย ย ย ย ย \nDevelop training module on Applied Psychology\nwith job competences and learning outcomes aligned with international standards\nand EU Sectoral Qualifications Framework for Border Guarding, ensuring\ngender-sensitive approach for each theme.\n\n

Applied psychology:\n\n

a)ย ย ย ย ย ย \nGuiding persons with nervous, aggressive or\ndeceptive behaviour and psychologically unstable persons,\n\n

b)ย ย ย ย ย \nInfluence of alcohol or drugs on behaviour,\n\n

c)ย ย ย ย ย ย \nGroup dynamics,\n\n

d)ย ย ย ย ย \nStress management and critical incidents\nresponse,\n\n

e)ย ย ย ย ย \nSupervision and leadership,\n\n

f)ย ย ย ย ย ย ย \nCrowd psychology.\n\n

2)ย ย ย ย ย \nRecommend and describe teaching and\nassessment methods for each topic of the module, prepare respective quizzes\nand/or exam questions.\n\n

3)ย ย ย ย ย \nSubmit developed module to IOM no later than\nMarch 31, 2026.\n\n

4)ย ย ย ย ย \nDeliver training of trainers to the lecturers\nof the Scientific Educational Centre on the developed modules in May 2026.\n\n

5)ย ย ย ย ย \nConduct pre- and post- assessments to\nevaluate the knowledge change of the trainees.\n\n

6)ย ย ย ย ย \nConsult with the IOM project team on\nappropriate and agreed approaches to the specified tasks before their\ncompletion.\n\n

Required Qualifications\nand Experience\n\n
