JOB SUMMARY: ย The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity.ย Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 250 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe. ย The CSIS China Power Project seeks a research intern to support the programโs work during the Spring of 2026. There is one (1) available full-time position for an internship of at least three months starting in early January, with the potential to extend the internship to a maximum of six months total.ย ย Our project utilizes quantitative and qualitative tools to examine the evolving nature of Chinaโs power through data-driven analysis. Our team conducts research on Chinese foreign policy, Chinaโs PLA and security policy, U.S.-China relations, cross-Strait relations, Chinese technology and economic policy, maritime security, and the broader Indo-Pacific security architecture. ย This is a fast-paced work environment, and we are looking for a motivated self-starter that can engage in a wide variety of analytic and logistical work.
