ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.
Implementation of the strategy is guided by three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The third principle is to excel at the basics by providing a high performing, robust, and resilient IT environment for the organization. ITS Technology Platforms: ITSPL delivers secure, cloud-first IT platforms with automation, self-service, IAM, & Platform Engineering (IaC). It manages databases, integrations, & cloud ops to ensure reliable, scalable, & cost-effective alignment with enterprise standards.
Position Overview: 
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Platform Engineer specializing in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of our Internal Platform as a Product by building Infrastructure as Code, developing APIs, implementing CICD pipelines, and creating CLI tools to deliver platform services effectively. This role will be leveraging Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps, Python, NodeJS and Security scanning tools for automated, secure, and scalable AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. The candidate will play a critical role in shaping our platform engineering practices by combining software development expertise with a deep understanding of modern cloud environments, DevSecOps, GitOps principles and applying these principles to modernizing the lifecycle of legacy technologies to be managed similarly to modern environments. 
Successful candidate will have the opportunity to modernize engineering environment with emphasis on automation, innovation, and learning. This role will help shape internal developer experiences and contribute to scalable platform design.
Selection Criteria:
Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate the provisioning and Day 2 management of cloud resources. Focus on building reusable modules, enforcing standards, and enabling consistent, repeatable deployments across environments.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate infrastructure automation into the software development lifecycle. Work closely with application developers, security, and DevOps to enable frictionless deployments through CI/CD and self-service platforms.
Implement and manage cloud infrastructure solutions with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security. Continuously monitor, optimize, and improve infrastructure components to meet business and performance objectives.
Develop internal tooling using Python/NodeJS for delivering Platform services.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure APIs to support platform capabilities and internal tooling. Ensure APIs are well-documented, versioned, and aligned with platform security and performance standards.
Automate & integrate EntraID for identity and access management within cloud environments.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring cost efficiency and reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
Continuously seek ways to optimize workflows, reduce toil, and automate repetitive tasks, contributing to overall team velocity and reliability.
Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new tools, patterns, and best practices, applying them thoughtfully to improve platform maturity.
Implement self-healing systems and automation for fault detection and resolution.
Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure security is integrated into the development and deployment processes.
Manage source code and collaborate using GIT.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure, IaC, DevSecOps, and GitOps.
Bridge the knowledge gap and handle the SRE activities during HQ hours for support of legacy technologies such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), WebSphere, IBM MQ, JBoss, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software,IIS and AMQ including aspects of service , incident and change management . Support automation to mitigate risks and promote decommissioning.

Selection Criteria

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience with Terraform, Terraform Cloud & Ansible. 
Strong software development skills, with proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., NodeJS, Python, Go, Java).
Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL database development and optimization.
Knowledge of multiple Cloud PaaS offerings such as Azure ASE, Postgre, ACA, AKS and their deployment and management.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, Helm Charts and serverless computing.  Prior experience managing middleware environments in a large enterprise. 
Demonstrates a self-starter mindset, proactively identifying gaps in platform capabilities and proposing innovative, scalable solutions.
Navigates ambiguity and complex technical challenges with a problem-solving approach, leveraging internal documentation, communities, and experimentation.
