Description of the Assignment:
The consultant will develop a monitoring system capable of tracking and documenting emission trends, energy demand levels, and energy costs. This system is crucial for enhancing the project’s environmental management and energy efficiency strategies by providing real-time data, comprehensive analytics, and detailed reporting for the RFM Hospital. The consultant will select appropriate platform and indicators that will monitor energy consumption and costs after installation of the energy efficient appliances and devices and the PV power plant. This will include measurement and monitoring protocols to monitor and record the findings of the reduced energy consumption and its associated reduced energy costs. The consultant will prepare a CO2 emission balance pre- and post-installation of the energy efficiency appliances, devices and the PV power plant.
The monitoring system should enable UNDP to:
Monitor and document real-time emission levels. Track and analyze energy demand across various facilities. Calculate and document energy costs. Provide detailed reports and trends analysis to support decision-making processes.The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a monitoring system that meets the technical and functional requirements detailed in this document. The system should integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and provide user-friendly interfaces for data access and analysis.
The Ideal Candidate is expected to align with the following requirements.
Possess at least a graduate Technical Degree in Engineering or ICT/Electrical system or BSc/BTech Degree (plus 5 years of work experience) or Post-High School Certificate (plus 10 years of work experience) in either electrical engineering, ICT, green energy engineering or similar field.Have good command of English (both written and spoken)Good inter-personal skills and ability to efficiently communicate with different stakeholders. \\Knowledge of Eswatini Electricity market and regulations. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining energy and emissions monitoring systems. In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as ISO 50001 for energy management and EPA guidelines for emissions monitoringProject management skills is an advantage. Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects within the energy and environmental sectors. Period of assignment/services: 30 days spread over three months.Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
