About this position

The Human Resources Department (HRD) seeks an innovative and goal-oriented professional with experience in corporate communications and social media to join the HR Communications Team. As part of this group, you will support the implementation of the IDB Group's employer brand and develop and implement communication strategies and plans for all areas of HRD, such as employee engagement, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), talent management, recognition, culture, learning and development, leadership, and more.

What you'll do:

Provide strategic communications advice and input on all departmental communications to the HRD General Manager and the HRD Leadership Team. Coordinate, develop, and deploy internal, external, and communications strategies and plans for HR initiatives. Draft and edit HRD's official communications. Work closely with the IDB Communications Division of the Knowledge, Communication, and Innovation Sector (KIC) and IDB Invest's Corporate Communications Team to craft internal and external campaigns. Support the Department with talent marketing initiatives using social media and other innovative approaches to better target the people we want to reach. In partnership with HR subject matter experts, keep the HRD and IDB Jobs websites up-to-date. Translate HR topics into compelling narratives and digestible content for employees. Provide guidance to junior colleagues in the team. Work under the limited supervision of others.

What you'll need

Education: Master's degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Journalism, HR management, organizational design, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate communications and social media. Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Additional knowledge of another official Bank language. Spanish is preferred.
