About IRRI The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is dedicated to reducing poverty and hunger through rice science; improving the health and welfare of rice farmers and consumers; and protecting the rice-growing environment for future generations. IRRI is an independent, nonprofit, research and educational institute, founded in 1960 by the Ford and Rockefeller foundations with support from the Philippine government. Working with in-country partners, IRRI develops advanced rice varieties that yield more grain and better withstand pests and disease as well as flooding, drought, and other harmful effects of climate change.
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Compensation and Benefits unit is responsible for administering, researching and maintaining IRRI pay and benefits system. The unit is also responsible for developing and implementing robust fit for purpose compensation and benefits packages and programs.
The post holder is part of a small unit of compensation and benefits staff. They are expected to proactively formulate partnerships across the HR & OD platform to deliver added value accompaniment and support to managers and staff with the aim to facilitate and enable delivery of IRRIโs business objectives.
Reporting to HR Business Partner, Compensation and Benefits, the HR Advisor will:
- Proactively provide administration and support services in the implementation, monitoring and coordination of compensation and benefits for all staff
- Act on and respond to issues related to compensation and benefits
- Independently generate and analyze data and reports and provide appropriate recommendations
- Take primary responsibility in maintaining and updating staff records
- Support the implementation and administration of relevant HR policies and procedures on compensation and benefits
This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baรฑos, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines.
