ContextThis project focuses on providing education to 100 vulnerable children in Uganda's northern region, where access to quality education remains a significant challenge due to poverty, lack of resources, and limited infrastructure. The aim is to empower these children with the tools and knowledge needed to break the cycle of poverty and create sustainable opportunities for their future. The project involves raising funds to cover essential education-related costs, including tuition fees, school supplies, uniforms, and transportation. Volunteers will be integral to the success of this initiative by helping to mobilize resources through diverse fundraising efforts and increasing awareness of the urgent educational needs in the region. As part of the assignment, volunteers will work closely with a dynamic team of project coordinators and community leaders, ensuring that the campaignโs objectives align with the broader goal of creating a lasting impact on the lives of the children. Volunteers will also engage with the local community, potential donors, and partners to advocate for the cause, building a network of support that will continue to benefit the children in the long term. This assignment is an opportunity for volunteers to actively contribute to meaningful change, hone skills in project management, fundraising, and community engagement, and be part of an initiative that promotes education, equality, and social justice for vulnerable children in Uganda. Task Description Purewish Foundation Uganda is seeking 20 dedicated Online Volunteers to assist in key fundraising support activities, including donor research, partner outreach, and grant proposal writing. These tasks will help strengthen our efforts to build healthier and more prosperous communities through education, economic empowerment, improved water and sanitation, and environmental protection. Each Online Volunteer will focus on one of the following areas: Donor Research โ Identify potential donors, businesses, and organizations that align with our mission. Gather relevant details, including contact information, funding priorities, and past contributions. Partner Outreach โ Assist in drafting professional and compelling correspondence, such as introduction letters, partnership proposals, and thank-you notes for outreach to potential partners and donors. Grant Proposal Writing โ Develop three tailored grant proposals for key initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and impact. Important Guidelines: Volunteers will strictly focus on research, drafting, and preparation of materials. Volunteers will not be responsible for soliciting donations or contacting donors directly. All drafts will undergo internal review before final submission to ensure quality and alignment with the organizationโs objectives. Ideal Candidate: Strong research and writing skills Experience in donor research, grant writing, or partnership development is an advantage Ability to work independently and meet deadlines By volunteering, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our capacity to secure resources for impactful community projects.
