Mission and objectives The Knowledge Project is a partnership between UNDP and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation seeking to promote knowledge generation and dissemination in the Arab region and beyond since 2008. It builds on three Arab Knowledge Reports, the Arab Knowledge Index, the knowledge4all portal, the Arab Reading Index, the Future of Knowledge Report and the Global Knowledge Index (GKI).

Task DescriptionAs part of the ongoing revamp of the Knowledge4All portal (https://www.knowledge4all.com), mobile application, and associated social media platforms, we are seeking to establish a unified and cohesive corporate identity. This project comprises several initiatives that play an integral role in advancing knowledge, skills, and development across regions. Each initiative has its unique focus, and it is essential to ensure that the branding reflects both the individuality of each initiative and the cohesive identity of the broader Knowledge4All platform. This task involves creating comprehensive branding guidelines that will ensure a consistent visual and messaging approach across all digital touchpoints. The applicant must advise on the design style for each initiative, including how to establish color links or design linkages between them, while also determining where unified branding is necessary and where distinct branding for each initiative should be used. Objective: This task involves the creation of detailed and visually cohesive guidelines for the corporate identity of the Knowledge4All portal, mobile application, and social media platforms. The goal is to ensure that the brand is presented consistently across all digital channels and touchpoints, while addressing the need for unique or unified branding for each initiative, depending on their individual focus and goals. Key Deliverables: Color Palette: Define the primary and secondary color schemes that align with the brandโ€™s values and tone, while advising on where unique color palettes should be used for individual initiatives. Typography: Establish typography guidelines, including font styles, sizes, and usage rules for both digital and print materials. Imagery and Graphics: Provide recommendations on imagery style, iconography, and graphic elements that reflect the brandโ€™s mission and audience, ensuring appropriate differentiation between initiatives where necessary. Design Linkage Advice: Provide clear guidance on how to visually link each initiative with the overarching Knowledge4All brand, using design elements such as color, typography, and imagery. Identify where unified branding is essential (for example, the main Knowledge4All portal and mobile app) and where distinct branding can be used for each initiative. Mock-ups for Social Media Posts: Create mock-ups for social media posts that highlight the main pillars of the Knowledge4All initiatives: Future Skills Academy: Empowering individuals in the Arab States region with skills needed for the evolving job market through transferable skills, entrepreneurship, and advanced technical skills. Global Knowledge Index (GKI): A leading global knowledge and development assessment tool, helping policymakers shape informed policies to build knowledge-driven societies. KnowTalks: A series of engaging webinars/sessions featuring experts tackling knowledge and development challenges and uncovering new opportunities. Youth Forums/Knowledge Weeks: Interactive events fostering discussions, learning, and engagement among youth on knowledge, innovation, and development.
