Mission and objectivesEnabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet). Formally Agoro Community Development Asociation (ACDA) is a women-centered, community-based organization in Northern Uganda, near the South Sudan border. Established in 2001, ERONet empowers marginalized communities through sustainable development in education, health, and livelihoods. The organization focuses on supporting adolescent girls and women facing marginalization and stigma, promoting resilience through interventions like water and sanitation projects, agricultural education, and disaster risk management. ERONet also addresses key social issues, including property rights, child marriage, girls' education, and food security. Through these initiatives, ERONet has significantly improved rural livelihoods, fostered gender equity, and strengthened community resilience, breaking cycles of poverty and ensuring long-term development.

ContextDespite strong community support and a well-established program, ERONet faces challenges in securing sustainable funding to expand its impact. To address this, ERONet seeks a skilled volunteer to enhance its fundraising capacity through grant writing. This will directly support ERONet’s mission to provide educational opportunities, particularly for underprivileged children and girls in rural areas. The role requires a proactive approach to research, proposal development, and donor communication. The volunteer will collaborate with ERONet’s internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational priorities while also contributing to external engagement strategies. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about international development, education, and social impact.

Task DescriptionERONet is seeking a dedicated volunteer to support through grant writing. The volunteer will contribute to the development of project proposals aligned with ERONet’s program strategy, identify potential funders, and provide guidance on effective approaches. Additionally, the role includes facilitating internal communication, coordinating with relevant departments, and enhancing ERONet’s external communication strategy. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify grant opportunities from various funding sources. Develop compelling project proposals and grant applications. Ensure proposals align with ERONet’s mission and objectives. Provide strategic advice on donor engagement and proposal development. Support internal coordination and collaboration among ERONet teams.
