Registrar of Societies, Akola Region - India. Our Mission: โDedicate to serve the community, nation and world by connecting the donors with community-based projects, coordinate the available resources and expertise to promote sustainable development in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.โ Objectives of the organization: 1. To promote socially, culturally, economically, and/or ecologically sustainable goals through our advocacy projects and transform a village Nagthana into eco village. 2. To save the life of farmers in Vidarbha by serving them through Mental Health Project in 128 villages. 3. To reset the agro-economy of rural Vidarbha through deployment of regenerative agriculture practices which further facilitate marketing of produce through โFamily Farmerโ project. 4. To encourage learning in local environment by rejuvenate public schools through digitalization and Project Based Learning concept which ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote learning opportunities for all. 5. Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. 6. To utilize the potential of women in society and empower them through education and involving them in community development mission.
ContextTo better address mitigation targets and answer the call of COP28, UV Society is mobilising funds for youth-led climate actions and for that reason, we need an effective grant proposal. This assignment can indirectly help in furthering youth leadership in climate action in alignment with the non-state entity (UV Society)โs short-term targets and long-term goals. The UV Societyโs newly launched project aims to amplify the youth's voices in climate action to transform the agri-food system through sustainable and scalable approaches and develop their leadership and entrepreneurship for better socio-economic impacts on local communities. This project contributes to strengthening Government-Industry-Academia partnerships and cross-sector collaborations, while the Online Volunteer, through grant writing support, gives an impetus to empower youth leadership and enhance capacity to transform agri-food systems through sustainable farming for the increase in food production and nature-based solutions for better carbon sequestration potential.
Task DescriptionWe are seeking to collaborate with Online Volunteers through this online volunteering assignment on grant proposal writing. Selected Online Volunteers may work in a team and will perform the below-mentioned tasks individually, each will be assigned one task per volunteer, as shown below: - Research, identify, and evaluate grant funding opportunities under the guidance of the management team of the UV Society. - Draft the assigned grant proposals, modify relevant documents based on feedback provided by supervisors, and submit quality deliverables promptly. He/she is responsible for preparing communication drafts for the UV Society so that back-and-forth communications between the UV Society and external potential partners can be facilitated. - Keep a concise record of each proposal with reasonable evidence in line with the underlying rationale, which can be easily handed over to successors. The Online Volunteers will not be requested to make donations in-kind or financial contributions or to solicit donations from third parties.
