Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Financial Control Analyst is assigned to the Loan and Treasury Accounting Section (CTAC-LTA) of the Accounting Division (CTAC) within the Controller's Department. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the designated International Staff and Officer.
Your Role
As a Financial Control Analyst, you will provide technical support for accounting responsibilities of ADB to establish and maintain accounting records and internal accounting controls and prepare financial statements and accounting reports.
You will:
- Prepare financial reports; maintain books of accounts for loans, guarantees, equity investments and derivative products; and ensure that accounting records/reports consistent with the United States generally accepted accounting principles.
Qualifications
You will need:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, major in accounting; with Certified Public Accountant qualification. At least 5 years' work experience in accounting, in a computerized environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, MS Word and MS Excel, and accounting/or products (loan/equity) related software, such as Loan IQ, Summit, Oracle ERP and PFMS, in common use in ADB and accounting related software. Experience with accounting policies, systems, guidelines, and reporting requirements prevalent in multinational organizations or multilateral institutions. Experience with ADB's and multilateral development bank's products such as loans, guarantees, equity investments, debt securities and associated derivatives. Knowledge of non-sovereign financial products. Experience with the interactions between different ADB work areas and workflows and their purpose. Detail-oriented and systematic, with advanced numerical abilities. Experience working cooperatively with colleagues in their immediate team and broader organizational departments. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff’s performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
