GGGI has A diverse portfolio of programs in developing countries around the world. These in-country programs, together with global products and services, focus on delivering results through an integrated approach of evidence-based green growth planning and implementation aligned to countriesโ€™ development priorities

The Climate Actions and Inclusive Development (CAID) Unit is part of the Investment and Policy Solutions Division (IPSD) and plays a critical part in supporting GGGIโ€™s global, regional, and country-level programs and projects by:

  • providing advisory services, technical analysis, and capacity building and training support;

    • developing tools, methodologies, models, and databases;

      • supporting stakeholder engagement and consultation processes; and

        • conducting applied research and other activities;

          CAID works in the areas of:

          • Climate change mitigation planning, including National Determined Contributions (NDC) enhancement and implementation, developing and operating measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems for the enhanced transparency framework of the Paris Agreement, long term low greenhouse gas emission development strategies (LT-LEDS), National Adaptation Plans, and nationally determined contributions (NDCs); Frameworks for gender responsive just transitions;
