Our Early Years Place promotes increased caregiver awareness and engagement with their childโ€™s learning, wellbeing and development. As a Family Support Specialist, youโ€™ll play a vital role in supporting early childhood development through working directly with families of children aged 0-8, with programs delivered flexibly in the community. Reporting to our Team Leader, youโ€™ll be based in Maryborough.

We have a variety of roles available:

part time maximum term (4 days per week, through to June 2026) casual

You will make a difference by:

Working with team members to deliver family support programs and age-appropriate services, including playgroups, parenting coaching/workshops, therapeutic family support and case management Promoting positive and culturally respectful approaches to parenting, and child and family wellbeing Engaging with children and families who are not currently accessing support services and providing connections to local services at the right time, including kindergarten Collecting and recording data and information for accountability, evaluation, and reporting

This role requires:

Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in the early years space โ€“ early childhood education and care, case management, parenting activities, playgroup or other play-based learning and development activities Demonstrated experience in using a strength-based approach when working with families Ability to manage a number of key relationships and to work in collaboration with stakeholders Knowledge and understanding of stresses on vulnerable families and the range of family risk and protective factors which impact on child outcomes Degree or Diploma in relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, Human Services Social Services or Social Sciences or significant equivalent experience Knowledge of early childhood development will be highly regarded
