In these Max Term partโtime positions (9โday fortnight, concluding 30 June 2026 with potential for extension), youโll be part of our Refuge and Recovery team in Moreton Bay, supporting children and families experiencing DFV, vulnerability, trauma and displacement to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes. The first position provides crisis accommodation support and mobile outreach to families experiencing DFV. The second position sits within our mobile support targeted housing team, working alongside families who have exited refuge into community housing to strengthen safety, stability and longโterm housing outcomes.
You will make a difference by:
Collaborate with families and stakeholders to assess Domestic and Family Violence risk and safety planning Providing holistic, trauma-informed case management to children and families experiencing complex challenges Building family capacity using strengths-based, client-centred and outcomes-focused approaches Conducting intakes, risk and needs assessments, and supporting families to set and work toward meaningful goals Linking families with appropriate services, supports and safe accommodation, including advocacy where required Working collaboratively with internal teams and community partners to promote child, family and community wellbeingA place to feel valued:
Your deep expertise of domestic and family violence and how it impacts families, children and communities will be invaluable. Your experience supporting vulnerable families, combined with your commitment to culturally respectful and trauma-informed practice, will be highly valued. Youโre a warm, grounded and collaborative practitioner who builds trust easily, communicates openly, and balances empathy with accountability.
This role requires:
Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families Proven experience using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish goals collaboratively with families Experience in case management, data collection and accurate case noting within electronic systems A relevant Degree or Diploma (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Social Sciences) or significant equivalent experienceA place to belong:
