Where you come in:

In this part-time, maximum term role (20 hours per week for 3 years, with potential for extension and permanency) youโ€™ll lead key evaluation and research projects. Youโ€™ll make use of your understanding of evaluation in the child, youth and/or family or related sectors, along with your strong stakeholder management skills and a highly collaborative style. Based in any capital city of Australia, youโ€™ll have flexibility to work from home or from one of our state offices.

You will make an impact by:

Leading evaluations and other research projects, including an internally-led evaluation of an innovative transition to school service delivered through a payment by outcomes model Contributing to the development program logics, theories of change, evaluation design, implementation, and reporting across our services Embedding best practice monitoring and evaluation into programs and services Engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

Does this sound like you?

Youโ€™re a skilled evaluator, experienced in mix-methods design and participatory and developmental approaches. You have a strong qualitative skillset and are keen to be part of a high performing team, to make monitoring and evaluation strategic and accessible for leaders and practitioners. Youโ€™re able to convey complex concepts in a straightforward manner and build the capacity of others through your work.

This role requires:

Experience in the design and implementation of mixed methods evaluation studies and use of participatory and/or developmental approaches Strong qualitative data collection and analysis skills, with an understanding of quantitative data and capacity for synthesis Experience working with outcomes frameworks and developing program logics, theories of change and monitoring plans An ability to translate complex concepts in a straightforward way and communicate these effectively to managers and practitioners in reporting and other communications An understanding of, and interest in, capacity building activities to develop staff understanding of monitoring and evaluation Strong engagement skills and the ability to work across a range of diverse stakeholders in a culturally responsive way
