About this position
The Environmental and Social Solutions Unit (VPS/ESG) is responsible for ensuring that IDB financed projects and other activities are environmentally and socially sustainable and comply with the Bankโs environmental and social policies.
ESG has its own Information Management System (โESG Compassโ) adapted to the specific activities that performs the Bank and the Unit related to environmental and social aspects under the Innovation and Technology group of ESG. This system allows to have all information together in a customized tool developed in .NET.
We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join the ESG Operational Support Team. As an IT and reporting Consultant, you will be part of the Innovation and Technology group supporting the Unit in several of the initiatives to improve the support to operations.
What youโll do:
- Support for Operations: Support to plan and coordinate the activities required for the development and implementation of the ESG information management system โESG Compassโ that includes coordination with internal ESG users, IDB Information Technology department, ESGโs information management steering committee and third parties. Support the database management of the quality assurance function internal to ESG. Help maintain the existing ESG Compass by working on the IDB ServiceNow platform to resolve the created tickets by users in a timely and adequate manner.
- Performance Measurement and Improvement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the impact of technology on operational efficiency, effectiveness, and outcomes, and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement. Help getting data sets from the source for analysis. Prepare ad hoc reports and dashboards on ESG data.
- Capacity Building for Operations: Support the team with ongoing activities and training material development of the communication site in SharePoint for ESG Compass.
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration to exchange best practices, lessons learned, and success stories in leveraging innovation and technology to optimize operations.
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in any of the following related fields: Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related area.
- Experience: At least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in with responsibilities in the development and/or implementation of information management systems, systems integrations, UX design, reporting or implementing new technologies.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish desired.

- Technical skills: Proficient in IT systems, data analysis, and software development. Familiar with UX design and reporting. Aware of emerging technologies. Enables effective innovation and technology implementation, enhancing operational efficiency and organizational excellence. MS Office (Power BI, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Requirements:
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

- Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
