Mission and objectivesThe Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy, facilitation of dialogue, and partnership building. Established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Tรผrkiye, ICPSD is one of UNDPโs six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDPโs global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP offices around the world. The Tech Volunteers for Resilience (Tech4R) programme mobilizes skilled digital volunteers to co-create open-source solutions that strengthen disaster resilience. This assignment focuses on building digital tools and dashboards that support real-time decision-making in disaster contexts.
ContextUNDP Armenia and Tech4R are piloting a modular disaster data system. Beyond field data collection, there is a need for real-time dashboards and AI-enhanced tools to help decision-makers interpret data, detect anomalies, and allocate resources effectively. Volunteers will form the technical development team, responsible for building and testing these solutions.
Task DescriptionThe Digital Tool & Dashboard Development Support Volunteer will: โข Develop and customize digital survey forms (XLSForms) in Kobo Toolbox/ODK. โข Build interactive dashboards in Power BI, Superset, or open-source equivalents. โข Integrate AI or automation features to: o Flag anomalies in data o Summarize trends o Suggest priority actions โข Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, multilingual, and accessible to diverse stakeholders. โข Conduct functionality testing, troubleshoot bugs, and refine workflows. โข Collaborate with the Tech4R team to align tools with resilience and emergency response needs.
