Mission and objectivesUNFPA Uzbekistan is committed to strengthening GBV prevention and response mechanisms that are inclusive of women and girls with disabilities. As part of the global May Inclusion Initiative led by UNV, this assignment supports the design of accessible, gender- and disability-inclusive communication materials for UNFPAโs outreach efforts. In line with the CRPD, UNDIS, and Beijing+30 frameworks, the campaign aims to raise awareness of rights, referral services, and protection pathways through social media messaging tailored to diverse disability experiences.
ContextExpected Deliverables (4 Weeks โ May 2025): โข Week 1: Onboarding, review of UNFPA/UNV messaging guidelines, and selection of target topics โข Week 2: Submission of draft message texts and visual concepts (min. 3) โข Week 3: Integration of feedback and refinement of designs/messages โข Week 4: Submission of final set (3โ5 posts) in editable format (e.g. Canva or Word) o Short tip-sheet: โMaking Your Social Media Posts More Accessibleโ
Task DescriptionOnline Volunteers will work closely with UNFPA Uzbekistanโs Communications and GBV focal points to: โข Review existing GBV-related outreach messages and visuals โข Identify content and format gaps for women and girls with disabilities โข Co-design 3 to 5 social media messages or visual posts that: o Are accessible (e.g., include alt text, simple language, high contrast) o Use inclusive and non-ableist language o Reflect the lived experiences of women and girls with disabilities o Can be published during May Inclusion Initiative or 16 Days of Activism (adaptable) โข Provide short accessibility guidelines for social media teams (alt text use, layout tips, inclusive tone) Optional: Suggest hashtags, content schedule, or partner tagging strategies.
