Result of ServiceWhile following best practices and standards, including cybersecurity and privacy policies the detailed responsibilities of the Consultant for automation are as follows: 1. Manage the engagement in collaboration with Data Analytics and Business Applications (DABA) Team • Work with UNJSPF/OIM’s Investment Management teams, Risk, Compliance, Operations and IT to collect business requirements. • Analyze and evaluate requirements while providing functional expertise and guidance throughout the implementation project. • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with business teams and overall project manager. • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project. 2. Improve automation framework • Assess Automation structure compatibility with ongoing data projects • Implement third-party risk, cybersecurity and privacy standards. • Deliver a practical roadmap for strengthening automation and technology alignment. 3. Infrastructure and Technology Assessment • Evaluate current and proposed tools to support data Automation (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Snowflake). • Implement templates and frameworks for the standardization of coding and workflow automation. 4. Stakeholder Engagement and Capacity Building • Conduct interactive workshops on automation principles. • Provide training in the use of automation tools and practices. • Facilitate alignment between business, IT, security, risk, and legal teams. Work LocationNew York Expected duration6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesOIM has developed and implemented a data and analytics strategy in alignment with best practices and in alignment with the Secretary General’s Data Strategy. This data and analytics strategy is the basis for the development of data Automation, data quality, data ethics, data security, analytics and reporting at OIM. Fully realizing the data strategy and getting OIM’s data ready for advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools requires a robust data Automation structure and practices. To facilitate this work, the individual Consultant is expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures with both data and investment management and can participate in all efforts to successfully develop a data Automation for OIM. The consultant is expected to work from OIM offices in NY. Remote or hybrid work maybe be considered. The Consultant will be expected to: • Collect requirements and assess business needs across all OIM areas. Write technical and non-technical documentation. • Review the current data automation landscape, including roles, policies, cybersecurity, privacy and infrastructure. • Assess, and advise on the adoption of technology platforms to support automation (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Snowflake). • Improve enterprise understanding of data schemas, inventory, classification, and reporting. • Define and implement cybersecurity and privacy standards for data projects, quality controls, and vendor risk management. Qualifications/special skillsAdvanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in computer science or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. A minimum of 15 years of experience developing and implementing data automation pipelines, automating business processes that meet or exceed expectations is required. Demonstrated experience of creating business value through data and analytics Demonstrated ability to work across business lines at a senior level to influence and effect change to achieve common goals Experience creating or implementing tools and capabilities to assist with data discovery & collaboration, data cataloguing, data automation, and data sharing Experience gathering and documenting data automation requirements for pipelines and workflow/processes. Analytical and integration experience involving complex data sets. Experience defining and applying cybersecurity and privacy policies and standards. Experience in developing/implementing/optimizing data strategies within a large asset manager, with a similar profile to the Pension Fund’s portfolio is desired. Experience supporting Investment Management, primarily in Equities and Fixed Income with knowledge in the Private Assets space is desired. LanguagesFluency in English is required.
