Living conditions and remarksBangkok offers a relatively high standard of living, with a variety of accommodation options ranging from affordable apartments to high-end residences, and a wide selection of local and international restaurants. The city has a tropical climate, with hot and humid conditions year-round, experiencing a rainy season from May to October. While Bangkok is generally safe, security measures should be followed, and cultural awareness is essential, with a conservative dress code expected in certain settings and moderate alcohol consumption in public. The city has reliable infrastructure, including excellent medical facilities, banking services, and advanced communication networks, making it a comfortable and well-connected duty station.
