About this position
Within the Vice Presidency of Sectors and Knowledge (VPS), the Knowledge and Learning Division (KLD) collaborates with organizational units across the IDB Group to make the organization's explicit and tacit knowledge accessible, visible, and easy to reuse; generates knowledge products that facilitate and improve knowledge management in the Bank and its operations; and promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing among staff and different external audiences.
We are seeking a consultant to support knowledge and learning initiatives. Among other things, the consultant will support the IDBโs Evidence Gap Maps Initiative, providing inputs to the EGM Coordinator regarding institutional framing, alignment with other institutional initiatives, and contributing to the preparation of high-level discussions.
You will work within the Knowledge and Learning Division under the Vice Presidency for Sectors and Knowledge (VPS/KLD), collaborating with teams within KLD and other organizational units of the IDBG as needed.
What youโll do
- Provide ongoing support and advice to the new INDES Chief during the transition period.
- Design and implement a training program on generative artificial intelligence for Managers and Division Chiefs.
- Analyze and design training programs on strategic topics for IDBStrategy+.
- Provide advice to the strategic design of the MOOCs program.
- Contribute to the benchmarking analysis on staff incentives, career advancement, and competency models that incorporate knowledge-related skills.
- Contribute to the Evidence Gap Maps (EGM) project, including:
- Preparation of a Technical Note with the methodology
- In coordination with 3ie, design and delivery of training sessions
- Support the implementation of pilots
- Support the integration between EGMs and the Knowledge Platform
What you'll need
- Education: Masterโs degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Public Policy, Economics, or similar field in the social, sciences or humanities, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience managing organizational and individual capacity initiatives through tailored learning initiatives in international organizations. Proven experience in LAC is strongly preferred. Strong technical background and proven management track record.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required.
