Result of ServiceUnder overall supervision of the Chief, Conference Management Unit, the individual contractor will provide conference planning and coordination support to the meetings/conferences held at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok in the year 2025. The individual contractors would perform the overall tasks efficiently and timely carry out throughout the meeting period. The individual contractor is required to perform the following functions: โ€ข Provides conference room support services to the participants attending the meetings, and other secretarial/clerical supports during the meetings โ€ข Assists Event Managers in planning, preparation and servicing of Intergovernmental Meetings (IGM) in coordination with relevant ESCAP Divisions. โ€ข Provides necessary support in participants registration and badging process. โ€ข Monitors and ensures all catering services for the meetings are provisioned in line with clientsโ€™ request. โ€ข Performs other duties as required. Work LocationBangkok Expected duration1/2-31/12/2025 Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Conference Management Unit of the Conference and General Services Section, Division of Administration, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), is seeking short-term assistance for conference planning and coordination support for various meetings/conferences held at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok in 2025. Qualifications/special skillsMinimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required. A first-level university degree may be accepted in lieu of two years of required experience. A minimum of three years (or one year if graduated with a first-level university degree) of responsible experience in conference management, administration, logistics or related areas is required. Experience in planning and organizing conferences and meetings is desirable. Experience with MS Office and operating virtual meeting platforms (i.e. MS Teams, Zoom, other event management platforms) is desirable. LanguagesFluency in English and Thai is required. Additional InformationThe service requirements are between 1-10 days for each meeting. The service fee is THB 2,500 per day per person.
