ย Context ย Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Ireland and direct supervision of the Senior Communications Assistant; the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for assisting with media, communication, publicity and raising awareness of IOM Ireland and migration issues.
- Assist with preparation, implementation and evaluation of IOM Ireland publicity and visibility about migration issues, IOM activities and events, and IOM beneficiaries tailored for IOM websites, social media platforms, newsletters, official media houses, partners, donors, and general public.ย
- Research needed resources and produce news stories, client stories, photos, and videos from scriptwriting, through shooting, editing, postproduction to their publishing on IOM dedicated platforms.ย
- Assist with effective management IOM accounts on social media platforms. Implement posting strategy. Curate content to increase reach, audience, followers and website/social media engagement. Appropriately interact with queries from audience.ย
- Run social media ads/campaigns, evaluate and report them.ย
- Assist managing and updating the office official websiteย
- Develop and keep media contact database up to date to facilitate further media coverage of IOM activities and migration topics.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage, audience, performance and results of IOM websites and social media, and prepare reports as needed.ย
- Create and apply graphic design of official outputs, mainly online banners, presentations, newsletters, and graphics to photos, videos, etc. Develop ideas for graphic design of complex materials, e.g. promotional leaflets, brochures, posters, or information packages.ย
- Ensure compliance with IOM Brand Guidelines rules and elements for all office and staff ATL/BTL communication and adherence to these guidelines.ย
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Chief of Mission and the direct supervisor. Education
- University degree in Communications, Marketing, Public relations, Information Management, Political or Social Sciences, or related field from an accredited academic institution, with at least three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in similar roles; ORย
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with at least five years of relevant working experience, preferably in similar roles. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in planning, writing, editing, and producing newsletters, articles, social media content, short videos; marketing and other print materials;ย
- Experience with up-to-date/current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications;ย
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher SharePoint is required;ย
- Demonstrated proficiency with design, photo-editing and video-editing Adobe Creative Suite software, content management systems for web sites, administration of social media platforms and apps for newsletters;ย
- Experience in working with migrants, migration management, and international migration issues is an advantage. Skills
