As the Communications Advisor, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:

Leading and managing high visibility outreach and liaison activities with important stakeholders. Managing public events, and acting as a liaison with partners, as well as supporting program related outreach activities. Developing, producing, and disseminating high-visibility corporate communications materials tailored to different audiences. Developing and implementing internal communications plan and activities.

You have:

A University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, journalism, public relations, political science) or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking). A minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications, including event organization and development of communication strategies. An in-depth understanding of internal communication strategy and public relations. An enhanced knowledge of IDRC, its activities, and the environment in which it operates.

Able to perform research related tasks. Great at managing projects and have excellent organizational skills. Hybrid Mode: The Centre provides a hybrid work environment, and your presence at the office is governed by the teleworking policy. As a result of this process, the Centre may establish a pool of pre-qualified candidates for future permanent and term opportunities requiring the same competencies.
