Case Specialist

Our specialist service works with male survivors of sexual violence and victims of crime across Queensland. In this role, you’ll provide a range of in person and online specialist supports to help them overcome the impact of experiencing the crime.

This is a Part-Time maximum term role through to December 2024 (with strong potential for extension). The role will be 9 days per fortnight - 68.4 hours. You’ll provide counselling and case management support to male survivors of sexual violence and victims of violent crime. Based in Brisbane, you’ll be a member of our QLD Programs team and report to our Team Leader, Yasmin Paterson.

You’re an experienced counsellor or case manager with high levels of initiative and flexibility alongside cultural sensitivity and knowledge. You’re able to respond calmly and effectively in complex situations. You possess a thorough understanding of the impact of violent crime and sexual assault and are able to apply that within a trauma-informed practice framework.
