The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is seeking a full-time Capacity Building and Training (CBT) Associate for supporting the delivery of CBT programs and policy-oriented research on development issues relating to sustainable development, climate finance, gender equality, social development and food security.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the organization and implementation of training workshops and capacity building programs
- Supporting the preparation of presentations for senior staff
- Communicating with government officials and experts in Asian and Pacific countries
- Drafting policy briefs, and other documents with task manager(s)
- Helping with the general administration of the CBT department
- Other tasks, as assigned
Requirements
- Masterโs degree (graduated or graduating within 2025) or doctoral studies (graduated or graduating within 2025) in a discipline related to economic and social development
- Good organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills on policy issues related to development and capacity building
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in written and oral English

ADBI Associates serve for limited terms as independent contractors in a personal capacity, with an initial one-year contract and a possible one-year extension based on performance. ADBI provides a base salary and leave benefits but not social insurances. They are neither officers nor staff of ADBI. Associates work under the direct supervision of ADBI professional staff and the overall guidance of the Deputy Dean.
