We’re affecting real climate-change impact for children in Tonga

The Building the Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector (BRACE) initiative is a multi-country climate adaptation project implemented in Tonga, South Sudan, and Cambodia, with primary funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). In Tonga, BRACE is delivered through a partnership between the Executing Entity (EE), the Government of Tonga via the Ministry of Education and Training (MET), and the Accredited Entity (AE), Save the Children Australia.

The initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of children and communities by embedding climate adaptation into education systems and practices. A Project Management Unit (PMU) will be established within MET to support project implementation, including planning, coordination, financial and contract management, environmental and social safeguards, and monitoring and reporting. The PMU is responsible for the overall coordination of BRACE and is led by the Team Leader.

Where you come in:

In this full-time, maximum term role, you’ll work as a part of our team in Nuku’alofa to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Operations Manager plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. The Operations Manager will lead the operational functions of the BRACE Project in Tonga, ensuring robust systems and processes for finance, procurement, human resources, risk management, and general administration.
