The Associate Project Officer reports to the Programme Coordinator and Evaluation Officer. ResponsibilitiesSupports the project manager in ensuring day- to- day delivery of all Cash- for- work project components, including job creation, shelter rehabilitation, maintenance of premises, infrastructure and sanitation works; identifies and anticipates problems or constraints related to budget, plans and timelines that may impede timely delivery, quality and achievement of goals; recommends improvements as needed. Conducts frequent or ad-hoc monitoring visits to field locations to ensure project activities fully adhere to standards and that quality is assured across various components. Reviews, enhances and/or develops a communication strategy for the Cash for Work project; leads the development of communication materials to increase community awareness and donor visibility; plans and organizes outreach meetings with the community and other stakeholders to manage their expectations. Liaises with external factors including the Cash Working Group, and relevant Palestinian Authority (PA) line ministries and departments. Contributes to the projects management and planning to improve its deliverables, including tracking results against targets and bringing deviations to the Managerโs attention. Identifies best practices and lessons learned; uses UNRWA monitoring and evaluation tools and corporate reports to identify areas for improvement.
