The Sexual and Reproductive Health global team is a diverse, multi-country-based team that plays a critical role in technical excellence for project implementation in its geographies of focus. The global team is also tasked with ensuring that project learning and evidence is disseminated and translated within key communities of practice, so that the value of the project is sustained through its contribution to advancing progress in SRH implementation globally.


PSI is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor for the anticipated USAID-funded Accelerating Choice, Equity, and Sustainability for Services (ACCESS) project. The purpose of this project is to advance equitable, affordable and sustainable access to family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) information, products and services. The Sr TA will lead or manage the implementation of technical activities as outlined in annual workplans and in line with global best practices.


Salary Range:
$108,000 (MINIMUM) - $135,000 (MID-POINT) - $162,000 (MAXIMUM)
For US-based candidates, the annual base salary range is reflected above. * We value transparency and have provided the full salary range for this role. Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidateโ€™s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range would not be typical to allow for potential future salary growth. Your contributions

Technical: Lead or manage the development of the project's technical activities and strategy. Provide remote and in-country technical assistance to effectively deliver results in line with PSI and global best practices and the project's technical strategy. Analyze evidence to determine best practices. Provide subject matter expertise in specific technical area such; as FP/RH service delivery innovation; social behavior change, AYSRH and user centered design, to the project. Lead development and implementation of project' workplans in collaboration ACCESS partners. Manage report writing and development of technical guidance. Time 50%Representation: Engage with donors and represent PSI and the project in external forums. Convey PSIโ€™s work under ACCESS in written and verbal form. Participate in technical conversations and meetings convened by USAID. Time 15%Thought Leadership / Knowledge Management: Engage with other departments and country programs within to provide subject matter expertise. Engage externally to represent PSI and demonstrate technical expertise, capacity, and experience in a specific technical area. Develop new tools/frameworks or content for publications (e.g., blogs, manuscripts, etc.) as outlined under project deliverables. Time 10%Program Management: Manage technical workstreams. Provide subject matter expertise while ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are met. 20%People Management: May manage people; provide coaching and mentoring to staff. 5%

What are we looking for?

Masterโ€™s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., MPH, MSc, MPP, MPA, MBA) At least 10 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted. Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge in family planning service delivery.Experience implementing family planning programs in two or more countries in Africa or AsiaExperience managing USAID projects. Ability to contribute to thought leadership in relevant technical areas such as FP service delivery FP SBCC, AYSRH, person centered care. Ability to contribute to the internal and external body of evidence in relevant technical area. Ability to provide technical assistance to PSI network. Ability to share knowledge internally and externally with global communities of practice; represents PSI externally. Ability to solve problems with creativity and analyze complex issues using in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Ability to operate with minimal supervision and considerable latitude for independent judgement to achieve desired outcomes. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues. Able to work as a member of a team and independently. Self-starter. Ability to lead development of technical approach for proposals and identify potential new business opportunities. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. Demonstrate emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with colleagues. Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Familiarity with a quantitative or qualitative data analysis program preferred.
