TEAM LEADER (ANTICIPATED HIRING)

2-Year Marawi Response Project

The Project
Save the Children is seeking to complete a Marawi Response Project Team at all levels: Leader, Officer/ Coordinator and Assistant positions for an anticipated 2-year grant-funded project in Marawi, Lanao del Sur, Mindanao.

The project will advance durable solutions for those displaced by the Marawi crisis in these main areas:
* Supporting local economic recovery and development; and,
* Strengthening social cohesion.

This will involve collaboration with national, regional and local government offices including the Task Force Bangon Marawi and member agencies such as the Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of labor and Employment, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Mindanao Development Authority, Office of the Civil Defense, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, Regional Government of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, city government of Marawi and other local government units, etc. and other critical partners

The Role
* Provide overall strategic direction in the design, management, implementation and overall quality assurance of the project.
* Provide technical assistance on economic recovery/ development and social cohesion.
* Ensure project design and execution is aligned with current government objectives so that activities are complementary and create sustainability.
* Be Save the Children's (SC’s) primary point of contact with senior level representatives of the donor and relevant stakeholders, networks; Collaborate with national, regional and local government offices including the Task Force Bangon Marawi and member agencies including the Mindanao Development Authority, Office of the Civil Defense, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, Regional Government of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur, city government of Marawi, other local government units, & other critical partners
* Provide high-level support for effective capacity building at the local level and sustainability of the project interventions.
* Oversee a team of experts and support staff, prepare reports and annual operating plans, align project initiatives with in-country priorities and ensure compliance with donor/grant & SC regulations.
* Leadership and technical guidance to ensure high quality program is delivered and targets are met
* Monitoring & evaluation / research
* Financial and grant management, procurement and budget control
* Representation and networking
* Human resource management and development

Qualifications and Experience
* Master's Degree in relevant areas of expertise or international development is preferred; Bachelor's Degree is required
* Minimum 10 yrs. professional experience in designing, managing, implementing large/ complex programs in technical area; At least 5 yrs. of senior program experience working and living in a developing country; ideally within the region/country.
* In-depth knowledge of donor approaches and regulations; Prior experience as Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader preferred
* Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to lead & work effectively in team situations; Creative problem, solving skills with ability to work effectively in environments with resource-constraints important
* Excellent oral, written communication skills in English. Knowledge of local language preferred

Contract Length: Fixed-Term Position for two (2) years based in Marawi Lanao del Sur, Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
