We are now seeking to appoint to the post of Systems Officer, reporting to our Financial Controller and supporting the wider finance team in the efficient and effective use of the suite of Christian Aid financial systems.
About the role
Working with IT and external suppliers, this important role is responsible for administering access to and maintenance of the financial systems and software of Christian Aid. You will provide support and training to users across all systems, including SUN, QA, Proactis, Adaptive, report writing and various banking systems and contribute to projects designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial systems and software. You will act as the division’s interface with the IT teams, taking responsibility for ensuring that user issues are satisfactorily resolved
You will have experience of working in a financial environment, with a strong understanding of accounting, reconciliations, foreign currencies and restricted funds. You will be IT literate, with advanced knowledge and experience of working with Sun, QA and Proactis (Superuser/administrator) in a complex organisation and bring with you project management skills to effectively deliver small scale systems & training projects. You will enjoy problem-solving and work with good attention to detail. Finally and most importantly, you will have good communication skills to provide technical training in simple terms and a strong customer service ethos with a commitment to resolving issues.
