Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Operations Analyst is assigned to the Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM) within the South Asia Department (SARD). You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
You will report to Country Director, BRM.
Your Role
As an Operations Analyst, you will provide operations support for the Country Director's Office. The role includes (i) quality assurance support in reviewing and enhancing strategic operational documents for senior management/officials; (ii) operational research through data collection and analysis to enhance strategic alignments with the priorities of Bangladesh and ADB; (iii) internal coordination to ensure OneADB approach across the operation and administrative teams; and (iv) secretarial services to monitor progress of operation and administrative team's work and support swift management decision in BRM's operations. You will also perform full administrative support services of a responsible and confidential nature to the Country Director and as required, to the Deputy Country Director.
You will:
- Review and enhance operational documents to ensure alignment with ADB guidelines and BRM quality standards.
Qualifications
You will need:
Bachelor's degree in economics, business or public administration, accounting and finance, or other related fields. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience Experience conducting background research and analysis, collecting and organizing required data and information, entering, retrieving, verifying, analyzing, test and present data and results in suitable formats (graphs, charts, etc.), setting up and maintaining databases, and preparing notes, papers and sections of reports Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets and graphics software used within ADB or similar multilateral development bank Contribute to team and departmental goals through effective coordination and collaboration within own work location and across ADB. Thorough understanding of ADB or similar multilateral development bank's procedures and operations Work with staff and stakeholders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew, initially for a period of up to 3 years, or up to the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes earlier, for the purpose(s) and conditions determined by ADB, in accordance with Administrative Order No. 2.01 (Recruitment and Appointment). After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years or not renewed. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB, based on factors including but not limited to the requirement of Staff's particular blend of skills and experience for the medium-term work program of the organizational unit, sufficient funding to cover the renewed period, and Staff's performance and suitability for employment. There is no limit to the number of renewals up to NRD. However, this appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment.
