Result of ServiceBy the end of the contract, the consultant would have achieved the following: โ€ข Conducted consultations with the ITC SheTrades Hub in Vietnam and other stakeholders to map the partnership landscape, identify potential areas of collaboration, and gather insights to inform future strategic engagement in Viet Nam. Contributed to the development of a short recommendations note summarizing findings โ€“ by end of January 2026 โ€ข Supported the roll-out and management of outreach, selection and M&E for women-led businesses (WLBs) participating in programme activities implemented with ITC and its partners. This includes coordinating calls for applications, screening submissions, and ensuring the selection of beneficiaries in line with ITC SheTrades criteria and partner requirements โ€“ by end of February 2026 โ€ข Organized virtual or in-person preparation sessions for programme participants to ensure they are adequately equipped for their engagement in project activities, including knowledge sessions, orientation meetings, or technical briefings โ€“ by end of March 2026 โ€ข Supported the onboarding of WLBs onto digital platforms or other partner-supported initiatives, ensuring that eligibility criteria are met and that selected participants receive the necessary guidance or technical support to maximize their engagement and benefits โ€“ by end of April 2026 โ€ข Coordinated the participation of selected WLBs in relevant events or market opportunities, which may include trade fairs, exhibitions, virtual showcases, or B2B activities. This involves liaising with event organizers or service providers, supporting logistical arrangements, and ensuring alignment with ITC guidance and technical specifications โ€“ by end of May 2026 โ€ข Submitted a final report summarizing all activities carried out, key achievements, participant โ€ข engagement, success stories, challenges, and lessons learned during the contract period โ€“ by end of June 2026 Work Locationhome-based Expected duration6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization based in Geneva. ITCโ€™s mission is to enable small business export success in developing and transition-economy countries, by providing, with partners, sustainable and inclusive development solutions to the private sector, trade support institutions (TSIs) and policymakers. The International Trade Centre launched the SheTrades initiative to create an ecosystem of integrated solutions that empower women economically through greater integration in trade and investment. The Initiative ensures that the right capacities and conditions are present for women to trade and that an ecosystem of market partners and effective support organisations supports them. At the same time, SheTrades works to remove inequalities in the trade policy space that hinder womenโ€™s participation. Description of Duties/Responsibilities The incumbent will work for ITCโ€™s Women and Trade Programme (SheTrades Initiative) in Vietnam under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. The consultant will support the implementation, communication, and coordination of SheTrades activities in Vietnam and is expected to carry out the following key responsibilities: A. Stakeholder Management โ€ข Coordinate regular discussions with stakeholders and strategic partners in Vietnam, including government entities, business support organizations (BSOs), private-sector partners, women-led businesses (WLBs), and development partners. โ€ข Identify and engage potential partners relevant to womenโ€™s economic empowerment, digital โ€ข transformation, and trade. โ€ข Organize stakeholder meetings, prepare agendas, and propose implementation strategies aligned with project objectives. โ€ข Monitor implementation timelines and ensure that agreed deliverables from partners are met in accordance with partnership agreements. B. Project Implementation โ€ข Support the planning and organization of in-person and virtual events, including consultations, โ€ข trainings, workshops, and outreach activities. โ€ข Secure speakers, liaise with local partners, and ensure seamless execution of events. โ€ข Work with ITC technical experts to develop and track internal timelines, support the roll-out of training curricula, and ensure timely delivery of programme content. โ€ข Provide continuous support to programme beneficiaries, responding to inquiries, facilitating โ€ข participation, and ensuring a positive participant experience throughout the programme cycle. โ€ข Facilitate training activities on digital skills, e-commerce, leadership, and other relevant topics. โ€ข Draft monthly and quarterly progress reports summarizing activities under respective projects for internal and donor reporting. โ€ข Provide communication materials (e.g., briefs, success stories, newsletters, social media copy) to support outreach and visibility of SheTrades activities in Vietnam. โ€ข Maintain regular communication with stakeholders - including BSOs, WLBs, relevant ministries, large enterprises, and corporations - to ensure coordinated implementation of project activities. Copyright Clause: The consultant has to ensure that she has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform her services under this consultancy contract and for the subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form. Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC. Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the consultant shall request the prior written permission from ITC. Qualifications/special skillsโ€ข Postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA, PHD or other) โ€ข Economics, trade, international relations, business administration, geography, corporate sustainability, or related field โ€ข Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. At least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience. Experience with international organizations or technical assistance providers. Experience in working in the areas of technical assistance supporting women-owned and led SMEs to access new market opportunities or other work related to SME development and trade facilitation would be an asset.
