Chemonics seeks a monitoring, evaluation, and learning specialist for the anticipated USAID early grade reading project in the West Bank. The project aims to enhance learning outcomes for Palestinian children at the primary level by improving Arabic reading instruction and supporting enhanced policies and practices at the government, community, and school levels. The monitoring, evaluation, and learning specialist will develop, assess, and evaluate baseline studies, logical frameworks, performance monitoring plans, and performance and impact evaluations related to improving reading at the primary grade level. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum six years of direct work experience in monitoring and evaluation and systems strengthening
  • Experience conducting reading assessments preferred
  • Expert knowledge on monitoring and evaluation of international donor-funded programs, with experience on education and reading programs preferred
  • Knowledge of the education sector in the West Bank
  • Strong report writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Arabic
