For the past 50 years Amnesty International has brought people together to fight for human rights. The Finance department of the International Secretariat (IS) is accountable for €280m of annual global funds raised for human rights work across the world. The IS Finance team is predominantly based in London, but we have colleagues in many offices around the world. Globally, the IS Finance team has a responsibility to help maximise the effectiveness of our funding to further the cause of improving global human rights. The Management Accounts and Procurement team is responsible for providing management information on financial monitoring and analysis of the programmes of work undertaken by IS offices across the world, helping ensure effective resource allocation in Amnesty.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be working in the Management Accounting & Procurement team to provide high quality and comprehensive financial support and guidance to budget holders and other stakeholders, promoting sound budget management and ensuring financial resources are allocated in the most effective way possible. You will need to develop excellent relationships with programme staff, and through effective business partnering will ensure finance and non-finance staff have open communication on the work of Amnesty and its financial impact. You will also produce value added analysis to ensure optimal allocation of resources and prepare project based financial information to enable project accountability. In addition, you will prepare ad hoc programme or project based financial analysis as required in order to support programmes and senior management with decision making.

ABOUT YOU:
You will be a finance professional with a chartered accountancy qualification (or have significant relevant experience). You will have excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, including presentation skills, with people of different teams (in particular non-finance teams), levels, and countries. You will have strong project management skills and be able to deliver quality information to deadlines. You will have experience preparing financial analysis and using finance systems, and have intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
