  • Currently enrolled and have attended University courses in the last 12 months inclusive of having completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or have recently graduated in the last 6 months’ in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Security or other related field;
  • Fluent in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);
  • Flexible to travel around Lebanon for Data Collection


The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill two (2) internship positions under WFP Lebanon School Feeding Unit. The positions will be based in our Country Office in Beirut, Lebanon. The Internship will be for a period of three (3) months starting from 02 July 2018 (tentative date).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Policy Officer (School Feeding and Nutrition), the selected candidates will be assisting the Programme Unit (School feeding and Nutrition) with the following key duties:

Implementation of a Knowledge Attitude Practice (KAP) survey to a sample of students participating in the WFP nutrition summer camps, specifically in:

  1. Reviewing the relevant literature
  2. Administering the questionnaires
  3. Assisting in data entry and cleaning
  4. Assisting in the analysis and summary of the findings
  5. Other survey-related tasks as needed

The selected candidates will be provided with necessary training and on the job orientation to ensure clear understanding of the work requirements.


  • Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the maximum amount of US$1000 per month depending on the duty station of assignment.
  • WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, necessary visas and related costs.
  • Depending on the duty station of assignment, WFP will reimburse travel ticket for candidates who are nationals of developing countries and are pursuing their studies in their home country.
  • WFP will recognize candidates’ educational credentials from recognised institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or Ministries of Education;
