Org. Setting and Reporting
This internship is located in the Chinese Translation and Text Processing Section (CTTS) of the Conference Management Service (CMS), Division for Management (DM), United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and is envisaged for a duration of two months, between 1st July and end of August 2019.
The intern will work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of the Chief of Section and the internship supervisor, as assigned.

Interns will be responsible for the following duties:
* Assist in manual bi-text matching adjustments;
* Check data integrity on a sample of complex terminology records migrated to UNTERM;
* Help eliminate duplicates in UNTERM;
* Perform other tasks, as requested by the Chief of CTTS or its Terminology Focal Point.

•Applicants must be studying for a Master’s degree in Translation at one of the MoU Chinese language university or translation schools and must study or have studied Terminology as a specialized subject.
•Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
(b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
(c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation

•Be computer-literate in standard software applications
•Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and
•Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
