Background

UNICEF is located at 72 Brickdam, Georgetown and requires ancillary services which promote the cleanliness and hygienic appearance of our premises and its surroundings.

Purpose of the Assignment

To provide high quality janitorial / custodial services thereby ensuring a clean and hygienic office and environment of UNICEF\Guyana premises.

Scope and Methodology

The scope of this assignment is to cover the janitorial / ancillary services of UNICEF\Guyana:

Provide a range of facility services through Operations Unit consisting of three (3) persons including 2 cleaners and 1 handyman. The services of the handyman would only be required during the period 7.30hours to 12.00 hours (Monday to Friday) while all other staff assigned would be required from 7.00 hours to 15.00 hours on Monday to Friday. These times are subject to change in the event of any changes in official office working hours. Staff assigned would be required to work on all national holidays not observed by UNICEF. Staff should be trustworthy, physically fit, healthy, have a pleasant disposition and can communicate effectively.

Qualifications/Competencies required

The company should have at least three (3) years of experience in providing cleaning services to businesses. The company should provide three (3) references of which previous experience with an international organization would be an asset. The company must adhere to the labour laws of Guyana Recent police clearances and proof of insurance coverage for all employees assigned to UNICEF.
