UNICEF procures and supplies over 5,000 products to address the needs of children. Supporting child survival and development programmes around the world, UNICEF-procured supplies are critical in providing for children’s health, education and protecting them from abuse, exploitation and neglect.

For every child, commitment Currently, UNICEF Supply Division is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to support the Services Unit within the Human Resources Centre. Under the supervision of the Senior HR Assistant, the incumbent will primarily be providing support in the HR Services Unit to some 200 staff members in the area of benefits & entitlements and support the unit’s planning and organizing of specific project activities.

How can you make a difference?

The key areas of work are:

•Provide client service to some 200 SD staff members on a range of HR service activities related to benefits and entitlements •Provide guidance and interpretation of UNICEF staff rules & regulations, administrative instructions and guidelines •Support on-boarding and off-boarding of international and local staff members •Support Time Management activities related to attendance and absences (including flexible work arrangements, extended sick leave and parental leave). •Supports HR administration related to Job Classification activities •Other duties and/or projects as discussed with the supervisor

When required, the HR Assistant will also be supporting onboarding/off-boarding for interns and volunteers.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Requirements: •Completion of secondary education•Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, including experience in HR services and systems •Experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive cases•Fluency in English •Valid residency and valid work permits for Denmark

Desirables: •University courses or diploma in human resources, administration or similar •Proficiency in Danish•Working experience from the UN •Experience with HR administration in a multicultural environment•Experience in supporting recruitment activities
