What you'll need 

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business, Development Studies or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role
  • Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience, as project coordinator, investment officer, or officer responsible for project design and technical supervision during implementation, results monitoring, and management of projects and programs aimed at developing the private sector and financed by bilateral or multilateral development institutions, nongovernmental organizations, public entities, or financial institutions 
  • Languages: Proficiency in English.

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Jamaica or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Jamaica.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration:

  • Type of contract: National Consultant Full-Time.
  • Length of contract: 19 months, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement for up to additional 17 months (total cumulative maximum of 36 months). .
  • Work Location: On site.
