Position: Communications Intern, Middle East RSO Location: Amman, Jordan or Remote Duration: Three Months Reports to: Sr. Regional Program Officer, Middle East RSO Start Date: August 1, 2022 About RI: Relief International (RI) is a leading non-profit organization working in 16 countries globally to relieve poverty, ensure the well-being and advance dignity. In this way, we empower communities to find, design, and implement the solutions that work best for them. RI includes the four corporate members of the RI Alliance: RI-US, RI-UK, MRCA/RI-France, and RI-Europe. Under our alliance agreement, we operate as a single, shared management structure. Position Summary: RI is seeking a motivated person to support across the RI program portfolio in the Middle East, with specific support provided to the Middle East regional programs team based in Amman, Jordan. The Communication Intern will be responsible to ensure that information and data from the RI country offices within the region is captured, documented, analyzed, and reported in a results-based and timely manner for donors and internal purposes for RI. This includes, but is not limited to, support in the review and finalization of donor reports, management of internal communications initiatives and information management platforms, as well as ad-hoc assistance to the programs team in other tasks as needed. About the Middle East Region: RI currently operates in five countries in the Middle East region: Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, and Yemen with a focus on the four RI sector pillars: Health (incl. Nutrition), WASH, Education, and Economic Opportunity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Communications Intern will work directly with the Middle East Sr. Regional Program Officer (SRPO) to provide support both with internal communications initiatives as well as major donor report reviews during the three-month duration of the internship.
