The Portfolio Specialist โ€“ Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) will advise and ensure the consistent application of gender equality and inclusion approaches and standards across programs and projects. S/he provides support on quality control, monitoring & evaluation, and integration of gender and inclusion with other projects/programs. S/he capacitates staff and partners on gender equality and inclusion.

Further, as the Portfolio Specialist โ€“ Gender Equality and Inclusion:

You will provide technical leadership in the consistent application of the GEI approach, guides, and tools in the quality management projects, following the Country Strategy Plan. You will assist in the development of the Annual GEI & Child and Youth Engagement (CYE) Plan and Budget and the development of Project Detailed Implementation Plans by the new project teams. You will participate in the regular project review, monitoring, and evaluation to improve GEI program quality. You will provide technical support to staff and partner youth organizations on GEI, ensuring contribution to partnersโ€™ capability development and strengthening accountability and compliance with donor regulations. You will represent Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc and its program vision to relevant external stakeholders. Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful in the role you will need among other things:

Graduate with a relevant degree and 3-4 years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent combination. Preferably demonstrated knowledge and practice on gender transformative programming. Ability to show sound analytical and problem-solving capability. Ability to influence othersโ€™ behavior through effective relationship building. Membership and affiliation within professional circles of Gender Equality & Inclusion. Has a proven track record in project management, managing remote locations, and managing community partners and volunteers. Flexible, has a good command of both oral and written English and good human relations. This role may require fieldwork. Applicant must be open and able to conduct fieldwork in areas covered by Plan International Pilipinas. Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila (with frequent travel to program areas)
