Mercy Corpsโ€™ Middle East, North Africa, and Europe (MENA/Europe) team continues to respond to the humanitarian and development needs with focus on resilience with programs across Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Ukraine, and Yemen. With a commitment to deliver quality programs that impact, influence, and innovate at a regional as well as country level, the teamโ€™s regional structure provides support to the country offices in advancement of both individual country priorities and the collective regional strategy. This includes a New Initiatives Specialist who keeps track of the new business opportunities pursued in the region and supports on the more complex, strategic, and high value bids.

Purpose / Project Description:The MENA/Europe Regional Team is looking for an experienced international development professional with a track record of strong program design and deep proposal development and writing experience with a variety of donors (including, but not limited to the United States Agency for International Development and the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) to support drafting quality submissions for diverse funding opportunities across the region. Consultant Objectives:The Consultant will provide strong technical design and writing inputs, as needed, for both humanitarian and development response proposals and strategy papers. This will be best achieved by someone with a clear understanding of the shifting dynamics across the Middle East and deep knowledge of proposal writing techniques for an array of major U.S. and European donors. The Consultant should be ready to work collaboratively with the team on the ground, and flexible to support work in the time zones that span the region.
