5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances childrenโ€™s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And itโ€™s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support childrenโ€™s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for โ€“ and respond to โ€“ crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 85 years, and are now active in more than 80 countries.

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE

We know that this crisis will have devastating long-term effects on women and children in the region and Plan International intends to play a vital role in responding to these needs together with the needs of vulnerable polish people.

The Education Specialist will provide a key understanding of the current Polish context and framework, supporting and advising education, early childhood and disability inclusive projects, ensuring quality intervention in these areas and contributing to the development of the sectorial strategy. Moreover, the Education Specialist will support the implementation of programming in Poland, ensuring the continuity and further scale up of the Education interventions in Poland (including inclusive education and early child development), supporting the organization and the partner organisationsโ€™ programme planning, implementation and monitoring.
