ITS Vice Presidency Context:

Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations.

Our vision is to transform how the Bank Group accomplishes its mission through information and technology. In this fast-paced, ever-changing world, the formulation and implementation of the ITS strategy is an ongoing, iterative process of learning and adaptation developed through extensive consultations with business partners throughout the World Bank Group.

ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.

Implementation of the strategy is guided by three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The second is to provide the Bank Group with value for money with selective and standard technologies. ITSGC Department Context

The Global Telecoms & Client Services (ITSGC) department within ITS provides global communications and client services, products, and support for all member organizations across the World Bank Group. Services provided by ITSGC include global network, unified communications (Telephony and Videoconferencing), end-user device and mobility service provisioning, IT support (Helpdesk, front-line IT support and IT training), as well as coordination and implementation of all infrastructure projects facing World Bank Group country offices.

Position Overview:

The ETC, Client Services will be responsible to provide audiovisual and videoconferencing operational support for meetings held at the World Bank Groupโ€™s headquarters in Washington, D.C. and in country offices. This position also entails providing internal and external facing streaming services and support including but not limited to: broadcasting, virtual live chats, audio quality, and recording. This role is part of the ITSCU unit under ITSGC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

โ€ขBuild and support business critical video streaming solutions.

โ€ขEdit video recordings

โ€ขManage recording and streaming infrastructure.

โ€ขAnalyze and troubleshoot issues with streaming and recording.

โ€ขManage, operate, and support digital signage.

โ€ขEvaluate new technologies and platforms for streaming.

โ€ขTrain and guide other members of the AV/VC operations team.

โ€ขAct as project coordinator and subject matter expert on streaming and video conferencing initiatives.

โ€ขWork with Network Management team to participate in network and traffic analyses.

โ€ขContinuously work to improve the infrastructure architecture and integration of various elements to keep environment relevant to market needs.

โ€ขMake improvements to deliver timely, reliable, and flexible AV/VC operational service.

โ€ขDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures and user guides.

Selection Criteria

โ€ขBachelorโ€™s or Master's degree with 2 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Role specific Experience:

โ€ขExpert in virtual platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom

โ€ขHands-on experience in Taiden, Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom video technology, and WebEx

โ€ขProven skills in live streaming protocols like RTSP, RTMP, SRT, and WebRTC

โ€ขStrong knowledge of Cisco (for Windows, IOS, Android) and WebEx client for mobile devices

โ€ขKnowledge of videoconferencing protocols such as H.323, SIP and audio / video standards

โ€ขAbility to quickly provide assistance to the WBG video services user community

โ€ขProficient knowledge of the fundamental concepts of videoconferencing technolgy

โ€ขHands-on experience with recording, livestreaming, and hosting.

โ€ขHands-on experience with Kaltura, Microsoft stream, YouTube, IBM, or similar streaming technologies.

โ€ขExperience with basic video editing.

โ€ขHands-on experience with CMS recording and streaming.

โ€ขKnowledge in Digital signage including maintenance and support.

โ€ขAbility to analyze and report AV/VC trends.

โ€ขAbility to apply problem solving strategies to evaluate and solve problems promptly.

โ€ขCopes effectively and is productive under work stress.

โ€ขAbility to deal sensitively in multicultural environments and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues both within and outside the organization.

โ€ขRequires strong analytic skills to create periodic statistical reports showing usage, demand, feedback, and volume of requests.
